STATEMENT:

I discovered AI imagery around 2022 or a bit before. Fascinated by this new medium, I began experimenting with each new version of Midjourney as it was released, exploring its capabilities and generating over 35K images up to this day — the vast majority of which remain unreleased.

The concept of "The Dimensionaires" began around the same time, as I explored whether this fantastic new tool could bring to life my visual love for swamps, monsters, cryptic esoterica, wool costumes, and retro-styled aesthetics. Eventually, I ended up with hundreds of images from that world and began to wonder what they might become if translated into film. This led to the idea of transforming those images into another one of my passions: movie posters. That concept evolved into a conceptual book titled "Terror in the AIlien Realms: Transdimensional Horror Movie Posters & Their Film Reviews" (which you buy HERE). Friends from the horror movie business helped him gather a roster of talented people working in the genre to take part in the project. I invited 50 of them to choose from a curated lot of 100 posters I had created with Midjourney and reworked in Photoshop. Each collaborator was asked to write an imaginary review for their selected poster — as if the film had been released in the AI dimension, and they were the first to see it. The result was a unique 108-page book, launched in the summer of 2023 at the renowned Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal. 17 of the collaborators attended, and 10 read their fictional reviews aloud to an enthusiastic audience. In addition to the artwork, my personal contribution to the book was a review for "The Dimensionaires: Abraxas' Brews", which also introduced the mythology behind this "massive" cultural phenomenon within the AI Dimension. And as AI video tools became increasingly better, I decided it was time to bring that world further more into our reality. The result is an early glimpse into their abstract, psychedelic, and horrific ordeals — in the form of a 10-minute short film entitled "The Dimensionaires: Prelude to Abraxas".
